Connect Your First Google Sheet

Set up a spreadsheet so every new row automatically sends a WhatsApp message.

Before You Start, Make Sure You Have

  • A Google Sheet with headers in row 1 and a phone number column (with country code, e.g., 919876543210) named Phone, Mobile, or WhatsApp.
  • At least one approved WhatsApp template — see Message Templates if you don’t have one yet
  • Access to sign in with the Google account that owns (or can access) the sheet.

Follow Simple Steps:

1. Start The Setup

Open Google Sheets Campaigns and click Connect Google Sheet.

2. Paste Your Spreadsheet ID

Open your Google Sheet, copy the part of the URL between /d/ and /edit, and paste it into the Spreadsheet ID field. There’s a Paste shortcut button that reads it straight from your clipboard.

3. Connect Your Google Account

Click Sign in with Google. A pop-up window opens — choose the account that has access to your sheet and approve the permission request.

IF The Popup Gets Blocked –Some browsers block pop-ups by default — allow pop-ups for this site and try again if nothing opens.

4. Pick The Right Tab

If your spreadsheet has multiple tabs, click the one with your contact data. A preview of the first few rows appears — check that your phone column shows the green “Phone column ready” confirmation before continuing.

5. Map Your Template

Choose your WhatsApp template, then match each part of it to a column:

  • For each {{1}}, {{2}} variable, pick the column it should pull from — the dot next to it turns green once mapped.
  • If the template has a header, choose Static (same for everyone) or Dynamic (a column per row).
  • Map any button that needs a column the same way.

6. Set The Delay And Finish

Choose your WhatsApp Business Account, give the campaign a Campaign Name, and pick a delay — Instant, 15 Mins, 1 Hour, or Custom. Check the summary line, then finish.

What Happens Next

  • Your campaign appears in the list as Active — add a new row to your sheet, and it’ll trigger a message on the delay you chose.
  • Click into the campaign any time to see a per-row log of what was sent, queued, or failed.
  • Use the pause icon on the campaign row to stop it temporarily without deleting your setup.
